Tuesday, April 5

Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with me for parent-teacher conferences. Good communication is so important to your child's education, and I am always thankful for the opportunity to talk with you.

Morning Meeting: "Rise and Shine", Class News: Pizza order forms are due tomorrow, discuss the Rachel's Challenge Assembly, Calendar, short /o/ sound: circle words with /o/ sound in the morning message and read "Oliver O and the Olives"
Assembly: Surprise Assembly! It was not a Rachel's Challenge Assembly but a chance to award one of our 1st Grade teachers, Mrs. Leffler, the Golden Apple Award. Congratulations, Mrs. Leffler! You are an amazing teacher!
Math: Different ways to make a number (using the cold lunches), quarters and dollars, differences between coins/bills
Story: "The Aunts Go Marching" (discuss the difference between the insect ants and family aunts), "Bugs!" book
Centers and Reading Groups

The weather is forecasted to be rainy and snowy this week, so please make sure your child brings warm clothes for recess.

Miss Kimpton
