Happy Groundhog's Day!

The groundhog didn't see his shadow...so we may have an early spring! After this last bout of chilly weather, we've earned it! For recess today, we watched science movies with the other kindergartens and built puzzles. For exercise, we walked the hallways waving our arms, skipping, running in place, even crab-walking to our classroom! Hopefully, the temperature will be above zero degrees tomorrow for recess!

Morning Meeting: Syllable greeting, clapping rhythm song, morning message ("What is above and below the ground?")
Shared Reading: "Little Groundhog" with groundhog puppet
Math: Make February calendar with Reading Buddies, fill in important days
Lots and lots of movement to make up for no recess!

Stay warm and out of the wind!
Miss Kimpton
