Friday, Feb. 4

Groudhog's Week and 100's Week is over and here comes Valentine's Day! I will send home a class list of students' names on Tuesday in order to make Valentines. In order to avoid hurt feelings, if you are going to send Valentine cards, please send one for each child. I will also add to the list any specialist teachers' names your child may want to make cards for. On Monday, February 14, we will have a heart-healthy day of walking 1 mile with our Reading Buddies, look through the Valentine cards (kindergartners LOVE to do this), eat some heart-healthy snacks, and enjoy a little bit of the candy from our friends. If you have a fantastic treat that is heart-healthy that you would like to bring for the class, please let me know!

Morning Meeting: Syllable greeting, introduce Mrs. Billen (Junior Field student from MSU-Billings), Star game, Sharing
Handwriting: Magic c letters: "a" and "d"
Reading: "Gas Helps It Go", "Little Groundhog" poem, "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish"
Centers
Math: sequencing with groundhog

Have a fantastic weekend!
Miss Kimpton
