Rachel's Challenge

We went to an assembly today called Rachel's Challenge, and there is more information for you in your child's folder. I highly recommend attending the presentation at Castle Rock (Thursday, Sept. 23, 7-8 pm) to learn more. This is not an appropriate assembly for children, but it will have a powerful effect on you. I had the opportunity to listen to Rachel Scott's father speak, and the message of Rachel's Challenge encourages some meaningful thoughts and discussions.

Morning Meeting: greeting, problem-solving skills
Letter Learning: Rr, brainstorm initial sound /r/ words, read "My Red Bike"
Library
Fine-Motor Skills: cutting out a red rabbit, coloring
Assembly: The kindergartners were AMAZING during the assembly and were fantastic listeners!

Enjoy the last evening of summer!
