I hope everyone had a chance to look through their child's folder to find the student information sheet and the goldenrod paper with information on it. In lieu of newsletters, I post on this blog, thus cutting down on paper waste and improving the timeliness of the material. I hope it works well for you. I would also like to post pictures of the students working and doing activities. I will talk more about this at Open House, but if you have concerns, please call me so we can discuss them.
Today we began learning about letters and letter sounds. We used our ABC chart for the first time today while practicing the song "Learning Letter Sounds". To go along with this, the students found specific letters around our room and read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom as a whole class. Next week, we will continue focusing on letters with ABC books, letters in names, and letter activities. We also began making a book about the kindergartners in our room.
