Writer's Workshop
Story: "Our Class is Going Green" and discuss ways to "Be Green"
Math: We had Guest Teachers in our room from First Interstate Bank (Thank You Mrs. Smith and Miss Edwards!) teaching a lesson about safe places to keep money. The students listened to a story about places to keep money, answered questions, and then ordered 9 different places from the Least Safe to the Most Safe. After that, each student received a piggy bank (a safe place) and decorated it. Our guests also gave each child one penny, one nickel, one dime, and one quarter to start their savings! We are so fortunate to have had this opportunity, and I hope each child takes care of his/her gifts from this day!
Please send your child to school dressed for the weather! There were many, many chilly students at recess today.
