The students learned a lot about dogs today, and they really enjoyed having Pablo in the classroom. The three kindergartens joined forces today as I introduced them to Pablo, talked about and showed how to take care of dogs, and modeled how to safely approach and pet a dog. I hope your children can use these techniques to be safe around dogs. Throughout the day, I had the opportunity to talk to kids about keeping their faces away from dogs' faces, staying quiet and calm around a dog, and being aware of what a dog is feeling.
